What is the Smooth Rolling Pin for ErgoPin™?
Most cake work starts with a plain roll: an even sheet of sugarpaste before any texture, panel or covering goes on. We developed this 12 inch smooth rolling pin with Ekat for that job, so the same handle system you use for your texture pins now covers your everyday rolling too.
It's made from food-safe polypropylene in a clean white finish, with a centre bore that fits the ErgoPin handle. The handle moves independently of the pin, so the pin rolls under steady pressure without you gripping hard or twisting your wrist. That makes it easier to get an even thickness across a full sheet of paste.

Can I use it without the ErgoPin™ handle?
Yes. It works as a standard rolling pin by hand. For the most consistent results and the least strain on your hands and wrists, we recommend using it with the ErgoPin™ handle. If you don't have one yet, choose the Rolling Pin + ErgoPin™ option to get both at a saving.
How do I fit it to my ErgoPin™?
It's a 12 inch pin, so fit the extension piece that comes with your ErgoPin, just as you would for an XL texture pin. Then slide the pin onto the handle.
What can I roll with it?
Fondant, sugarpaste, polymer clay, salt dough and more! It's ideal for rolling out covering paste, and for the plain sheets you'll later texture with your Prop Options texture pins.
Is it dishwasher safe?
No. Hand wash it in warm soapy water and dry it thoroughly before storing.
What's included in the bundle?
The Rolling Pin + ErgoPin™ option includes the smooth pin and the complete ErgoPin handle, including the extension piece for 12 inch pins. The handle also fits our 9 inch and 12 inch texture rolling pins. The bundle is £87.50, against £100 if you buy them separately.
